Fisherman and Cat, Unalaska

A spring sketching trip to Unalaska in the Aleutians gave me the opportunity to make a sketch that resulted in this painting. A fisherman was busy in his backyard untagling and sorting out floats while his frisky cat kept him company jumping from float to float.

You'll see many more dogs in my paintings than cats. Although I'm fond of all animals tremendously, I am allergic to cats, so fewer paintings of them.
